Suspension
A working class Muslim
is something to be,
with a beard
and all the prejudice it brings,
pray time is hide away,
suspicion
alludes in the
nationhood,
everything has become family run,
and Mecca slightly
more understood
in the streets
cornering Ali’s store,
school entrance sign’s
sighting Arabic language,
while Ishmale learns
English literature,
hoping for classics
in a tale of two Religions,
there is a war,
amid enough ideas
to sort out
the world.
